The Salina 48 has been designed to a hugely demanding list of specifications:
Create a seagoing vessel able to sail in any conditions.
Complete visibility from the bridge with no obstacles around the deck.
The saloon/cockpit must make up a single unit with no stepped access and a wide walkthrough.
The helm station must accommodate three people and must be convivial with the cockpit.
Sailing controls must be grouped together at the helm.
The sunbathing platform must be safe and useable at sea.
On board, the saloon/cockpit area has an impressive amount of volume, forming a continuous area. With a forward facing chart-table, L-shaped galley and new "Piano" refrigerator (designed by FP) the interior is functional and elegant.
With a length of 48', the design has a thin shape with a very low centre of gravity for comfort and safety at sea. Its 136 sq m sail plan performs effectively and does not cause any pitch in choppy conditions.
The Salina 48 is manufactured with Fountaine Pajot's new technologies: the sandwich composite hull is infused and the deckhouse is injected with new RTM eco technology
The Salina 48 comes in two configurations: Quator (four cabins/four heads) and Maestro (two cabins, one owner suite/three heads).
