The Bavaria Shipyard

The Bavaria shipyard, situated in the heart of Germany, can produce over 3500 yachts per year. Established in 1978, the Bavaria yard is the most efficient yacht production facility in the world. The yachts are all built to Ocean category A – the highest classification of the International marine Certificate. Institute under directive 94/25, and to the even more stringent Germanischer Lloyd Certification . The new range is the result of collaboration between Farr Yacht design, BMW Designworks USA, and the Bavaria factory team, headed by Jens Ludmann, formerly Chief Engineer with Ford Europe. Bavaria Yachts are available with a wide range of factory and Horizon fitted options, ranging from autopilots and air-conditioning to generators and electric winches.

The Bavaria Cruiser and Vision Series

With Farr Yacht design at the helm, the new Cruiser series and Vision series of yachts are structurally engineered to be impressively strong and stiff yachts. Hand laid fiberglass lamination below the waterline, a divinicell foam core above the waterline and easily driven hull shapes, Bavaria yachts are the “BMW’s” of the ocean – luxury yachts with a performance edge that make them a delight to sail. Below decks, the interior joinery finishes of Mahogany, Walnut or Oak further enhances the extremely spacious and ergonomic interiors. A host of factory upgrades that are now included as standard further widens the gap between Bavaria and the competition.
